All are invited to join us for bible education classes that are a NON-INTIMIDATING, EXPLANATORY, DEVOTIONAL, and HISTORICAL discovery of the bible.
Non-intimidating because we will learn together in class as a group. While reading portions of the narrative books of the bible; the story in timeline order.
Explanatory because we will learn from questions/answers (provided), maps, timelines, bible footnotes, videos, excerpts from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and other reputable Catholic publications.
Devotional because private prayer will generate encounters with God & a desire to learn more about His plan for each of us.
Historical because we will learn the context for Bible passages, including Hebrew tradition, along with secular and political influences of the time.
Participants will learn to embrace the bible not as something to master, but as a place to encounter the Living Word of God.
All materials are provided by the parish at no cost to the participant. All classes meet at St. Teresa of Avila facilities. All classes vary in length and break for holidays & summer.
